Located in Williams along Interstate 5, the new base in California will provide service to Colusa County and the surrounding regions.
REACH Air Medical Services (REACH) today announced its newest air medical transport base in Colusa County is now in service. Located in Williams along Interstate 5, the new base will provide service to Colusa County and the surrounding regions.
“The opening of this air medical operation in Colusa County will have a significant impact on residents and visitors during times of critical illness or injury,” said Vicky Spediacci, air chief operating officer for REACH parent company Global Medical Response. “We look forward to working alongside other local first responders and healthcare providers to enhance the delivery of timely medical care to the community.”
The Williams base is staffed round-the-clock by highly trained and experienced pilots, flight nurses, and flight paramedics and is maintained by on-site aviation maintenance technicians. The Airbus H-125 helicopter operated at this base is medically configured with the latest avionics and safety features.
“The Williams Fire Protection Authority is proud to welcome REACH to the community of Williams,” said Jeff Gilbert, fire chief for Williams Fire Protection Authority. “Having an air medical helicopter located in Colusa County will greatly benefit critical patients by expediting their transport to definitive care.”
REACH is a participating provider in the AirMedCare Network (AMCN), the nation’s largest air medical transport membership program with more than 320 air medical locations across 38 states. Members flown for a life-or limb-threatening injury or illness by an AMCN participating provider have no out-of-pocket costs for the flight. Whatever the member’s insurance or third-party insurance pays is considered payment in full. Annual memberships start at $85.
