Catherine North has dedicated more than 42 years to the field of Emergency Medical Services (EMS). From her beginning as a level-three medic on the ambulance to full-time dispatcher to supervisor to her current role as communications manager in Syracuse, New York. Catherine knows, firsthand, the rigorous education and hands-on training that's required in the emergent care industry.

As a veteran EMS professional, Catherine emphasizes the importance of providing excellent patient care. She values humor and believes in seeking support to cope with the stresses of emergency calls— two important factors that contributed to her early training in active listening and creative thinking.
