Sharon Hughes has dedicated the last 25 years to serving our communities through EMS. Sharon began her career as an EMT with Rural Metro Fire, and over the years has advanced her career by becoming an advanced emergency medical technician (AEMT) and certified instructor coordinator (CIC), teaching Earn While You Learn (EWYL) EMT classes and providing care at special events such as Buffalo Bills, Buffalo Sabres and Buffalo Bandits games.

Sharon has always recognized that teamwork is a crucial element in delivering quality care to patients. Her experience working alongside different people has allowed her to learn and grow both personally and professionally. Sharon believes that collaboration, communication and trust are the cornerstones of effective teamwork in EMS.
