(ABILENE, Texas) — The Abilene Air Evac Lifeteam helicopter has a new look. Air Evac 63 is now known as Hendrick Air 63, and the helicopter features Hendrick Health’s colors and logo.
Marta Pagura, Program Director for the air medical base, said only the helicopter’s look has changed – everything else remains the same. Air Evac Lifeteam still owns and operates the base and helicopter.
“Air Evac Lifeteam has served residents of Abilene and surrounding areas for 15 years,” Pagura said. “We are proud to work side-by-side with Hendrick Health, area hospitals, EMS, fire and law enforcement agencies.”
She added the flight paramedics, nurses, pilots and maintenance team remain, along with the compassionate, excellent care. “The Bell 407 GX helicopter is medically configured with the latest avionics, medical and safety equipment. The process to request the helicopter is the same. The only thing that has changed is the paint on the helicopter – we now proudly fly Hendrick Health colors.”
Pagura added that Air Evac / AirMedCare Network memberships are valid in the Abilene location, along with the more than 320 air medical locations across 38 states.
“Our long-standing partnership with Air Evac has helped us connect patients with the care they need when they need it,” said Brad Holland, president and CEO of Hendrick Health. “We’re proud that the Hendrick Air 63 helicopter now bears the Hendrick Health logo.”
