American Medical Response to Lead Dallas County COVID-19 Vaccine Efforts
4.27.2021
As part of the Contract with Dallas County, AMR will Distribute up to 12,000 Vaccine Doses per Day
American Medical Response (AMR), America’s leading provider of ground medical transportation services, today announced that it has partnered with Dallas County to help lead COVID-19 vaccination efforts at the county’s Fair Park vaccine hub in Dallas.
The Fair Park vaccine hub is one of the largest mass vaccination sites in the state of Texas, administering up to 12,000 doses per day. Caregivers from AMR will work under the oversight of the Dallas County Health Department to help administer vaccines to community members in an effort to increase immunity to COVID-19 and emerging variants of the virus.
“AMR is incredibly proud to partner with Dallas County to help lead vaccination efforts at Fair Park,” said Steven Dralle, Regional President for AMR parent company, Global Medical Response. “Our dedicated teams have been embattled with the COVID-19 outbreak for more than a year now and through these vaccination efforts, we can help increase immunity and reduce the forward progress of this virus.”
Up to 250 Paramedics, EMTs, nurses, screeners, and other support team members will be stationed at the Fair Park vaccine hub during its course of operation.
“Our teams stationed at Fair Park will not take away from the work of our other operations in Texas and around the nation,” Dralle said. “Our national scope enables us to quickly mobilize caregivers while continuing to provide compassionate care to communities throughout the country.”
“We are looking forward to having AMR assume the operations for Dallas County,” said Darryl Martin, County Administrator for Dallas County. “AMR has a proven concept of vaccine delivery they have demonstrated all over the country. Having one of the largest vaccine sites in the country, their services are critical to continue the services in Dallas County in an effort to get all of our citizens vaccinated.”
