Bayflite 4 is Now Med-Trans Florida

Bayflite 4 unveils new name for Brooksville Air Medical Base.
Today, Bayflite 4, a leading provider of air medical services in central Florida, announced it will now operate under a new name: Med-Trans Florida. This new name is a greater reflection of the organization’s extensive operations, service and expertise.

“We are proud to announce our rebranding efforts at our Brooksville Bayflite 4 base,” said Kim Montgomery, Chief Operating Officer of Med-Trans Corp. “Through this name change, our objective is to emphasize the high-quality care, service and expertise of our Brooksville base by unifying our teams under the well-respected and recognized Med-Trans brand.”

The Bayflite 4 team will transition to Med-Trans Florida immediately.

Med-Trans Florida is operational 24-hours a day, 7 days a week with local dispatching. The flight program is staffed by a crew of highly trained and experienced pilots, clinicians and aviation maintenance technicians. The base operates a medically configured Bell 407 helicopter outfitted with the latest in avionics and safety features. The Bell 407 is capable of transporting one patient, two medical crew members and one pilot.

Med-Trans is the aviation partner of numerous prestigious and long-standing flight programs in Florida, including John Hopkins All Children’s Hospital in the Tampa Bay area, UF Florida’s ShandsCair and Trauma One. Med-Trans operates throughout the U.S. in partnerships with well-respected and recognized flight programs such as Yale New Haven Health, Northwell Health, University of Tennessee Medical University of South Carolina, University of Mississippi and more.
