GMR Announces Strategic Sale of GrandView Aviation Assets
10.23.2024
The transition is expected to be finalized in the coming weeks.
As part of Global Medical Response’s (GMR) ongoing strategic focus on emergent medical services, the company is announcing that it has executed a purchase agreement to sell its GrandView Aviation fleet to Wheels Up. The transaction includes the transfer of GrandView’s entire fleet of 17 Embraer Phenom 300 and 300E aircraft.
This transition aligns with GMR’s strategic plan to streamline operations and continue its focus on providing industry-leading air and ground emergency medical services. For GrandView Aviation, this transition represents a significant opportunity to align its private charter services under Wheels Up, offering even greater benefits and services to its members.
“This decision allows us to concentrate on what we do best—delivering critical air and ground medical services to patients in need,” said Nick Loporcaro, president and CEO of Global Medical Response. “By streamlining our operations, we can sharpen our focus on emergent medical services, while ensuring that the GrandView Aviation fleet has the opportunity to thrive under Wheels Up’s leadership and continue to grow their private charter offerings.”
Wheels Up has shared additional details on the acquisition in their recent press release, which can be found here: WheelsUp Press Release.
