The partnership strengthens air medical services within the Quad Cities.
Med-Trans Corporation (Med-Trans) is pleased to announce a new partnership with Med-Force Aeromedical Transport (Med-Force). This partnership brings together resources from the region’s long-standing air medical transport provider, Med-Force, with expertise from Med-Trans, a Global Medical Response solution and leading national air medical provider, ensuring the highest level of emergency medical helicopter service in the region.
“We are thrilled to align with Med-Force in providing care to the communities of Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois,” said Gary Valeriano, regional business director for Med-Trans. “The partnership allows for a greater depth of resources of aircraft and maintenance support.”
Med-Force’s two H135 helicopters and one EC135 helicopter will continue to serve the region from bases in Colona, Illinois and West Burlington, Iowa. Both bases are staffed by highly trained flight nurses and flight paramedics, paired with experienced pilots and mechanics from Med-Trans, providing 24/7 coverage to the region. The helicopters are medically configured with the latest avionics and safety features.
“Joining forces with Med-Trans brings additional layers of experience and resources, allowing us to provide the highest standard of air medical transport and care to the communities we serve,” said Kevin Takacs, president and CEO of Med-Force. “The partnership allows for an increase in patient access and resource availability, as the new level of on-site aviation support will allow our aircraft to stay in service.”
