Jim Pollard

James “Jim” Pollard began his EMS career more than 45 years ago, inspired by the chance to help those in need of medical care. Over the years, he has held several leadership positions, including the role of regional director of business development for the south region and currently, he serves as the public affairs manager for AMR Central MS. Jim was also part of a team with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) that developed a specialized training program aimed at enhancing public information, education, and relations for local EMS operations. The skills and attributes acquired early in Jim's career continue to shape their success today. Humility, integrity, empathy, sincerity, initiative, thoroughness, reliability, friendliness and open-mindedness to change are qualities that have consistently defined his approach to his work.
