Gordan Anderson

Communications Supervisor

Gordon Anderson has truly lived a life of service, dedicating 55 years of his career to the emergency medical service (EMS) field. His journey in EMS began as a ride-along on an ambulance that turned into a lifelong passion for helping those in need. Gordon began his career as an ambulance driver and was part of the first EMT training class in San Diego, Calif, in 1972.

During his EMS career, he has held various positions, such as field training officer (FTO), support supervisor and communications specialist, becoming one of the first emergency medical dispatchers in the nation. Gordon now holds the position of communications supervisor.

For those interested in pursuing a career in EMS, Gordon's advice is to have compassion for helping people and find satisfaction in serving those in need.

As we honor his 55 years of service, we celebrate not just his career, but a life devoted to the noble cause of saving lives and serving communities. Thank you, Gordon, for your hard work and dedication to the communities we serve. Your contributions have made a profound difference in the lives of those around you, and we are honored to have you as a member of our team.

“There is great satisfaction at the end of your day knowing that you have done your best to contribute to the betterment of others.” Gorden Anderson
