Joe Drago
Program Director
In high school, Joe Drago set a career goal to help others. Joe earned his EMT certification after graduating and is now celebrating 20 years of EMS service this December. He has served in ground EMS as a tactical paramedic, operations supervisor and operations manager. In the air medical industry, Joe has served as a flight paramedic, clinical base manager and as a program director with REACH, his current role.
Joe credits the skills he learned on the flight line as invaluable, opening the door for his advancement at REACH. Working as a flight paramedic taught him the importance of having a strong team and strong organizational skills to consistently perform at a high level. He encourages others interested in a career in EMS to stay focused on their ultimate goals and to always remember, it is a privilege to help others in their time of need.
“Being a flight paramedic taught me the importance of having a strong team, effective communication, active listening and the ability to work through different perspectives to get the job done safely and effectively.” Joe Drago
