With 28 years in the EMS industry, Lorraine Jennings is an inspiration to us all. Lorraine’s professional journey began in 1995, when she started working in various medical settings, including family practice, OB/GYN and pediatric emergency care. However, it was in the EMS field where she found her true calling. Lorraine’s unwavering dedication and exceptional skills earned her the respect of her colleagues and patients. Recognizing her expertise and leadership qualities, she was promoted to her current role as an advanced EMT field training officer for Lifeguard Ambulance Service in Houston, TX.
In late 2022, faced with an ovarian cancer diagnosis, Lorraine displayed remarkable resilience. Just six weeks after surgery, while undergoing chemotherapy, she returned to work. Throughout her journey, Lorraine attributes her success to the unwavering support of her "GMR work family," whose presence played a crucial role in her triumphant battle against cancer.
Today, Lorraine proudly stands as a testament to courage and determination. Her story showcases the power of pursuing one's passion, overcoming adversity and making a difference in the lives of others.
