Melissa Hines
Clinical Education Specialist
Melissa Hines began her career in EMS with a unique background, originally aspiring to teach elementary school. However, she soon realized her true calling lay elsewhere and embarked on a new path by attending EMT school. Her journey led her to the Seattle AMR EMT class, where she not only discovered her passion for EMS, but also formed a deep connection for serving the community.
Since joining the EMS field, Melissa has advanced from EMT to field training officer, crew chief and now holds the esteemed position of clinical education specialist.
One of the key skills Melissa acquired early in her career is the importance of teamwork. In EMS, effective communication and trust with your partner are paramount for success in the field, and these skills have remained crucial as she transitioned into leadership roles.
Melissa's advice for those aspiring to join the EMS field is to go for it! Her invaluable advice is to always aim to do one step better, keep your passion alive, challenge yourself and continue to learn and grow in your craft.
We are grateful for Melissa's unwavering commitment to our team, and the valuable contributions she continues to make in our organization and the communities we serve.
"Work should not just be a means to an end, but a source of joy and fulfillment. Having fun at work, taking pride in one's work ethic, and enjoying life beyond the job are all essential components of a happy and successful career." Melissa Hines
