AMR and Erlanger Expand Partnership
8.28.2024
AMR will provide ground ambulance services and a fully integrated dispatch system to serve the Tennessee-based Erlanger's patients and staff.
Erlanger and American Medical Response (AMR), a Global Medical Response (GMR) company, are pleased to announce the addition of ground ambulance services and a fully integrated dispatch system to their existing air medical partnership with Med-Trans Corporation (MTC), a GMR brand. These service extensions will provide a streamlined approach to medical transportation and provide Erlanger patients with increased access to care.
"The collaboration between Erlanger and AMR marks a pivotal moment in how we approach medical transportation,” states Robbie Tester, Vice President of Patient Logistics. “By integrating advanced technology with both ground and air services, we’re not just improving the logistics of patient transfers—we’re reshaping the entire patient experience. This partnership allows us to deliver a seamless, efficient, and responsive system that ensures patients receive timely and coordinated care,”
Through a custom-built system developed by AMR, Erlanger will now have access to a transportation management platform as technology for ground and air transportation ordering. The first stage of this expansion, which is expected to go live at the end of September, will include designated ambulances for patient transports as a part of AMR’s concierge program. By the end of integration, expected to be completed in early 2025, caregivers will have the capability to order 24/7 ground and air transportation for patients. These requests will be dispatched from Erlanger Regional Operations Center (EROC) through this state-of-the-art dispatch system connected to the Erlanger electronic medical record.
“AMR is thrilled to have the opportunity to partner with Erlanger to bring these unique solutions to Tennessee and North Carolina,” said Kim Montgomery, president for GMR Health Systems. “We look forward to serving these communities in transformative ways and providing patients and health care professionals a more cohesive and responsive health system.”
